So the other week I got a new toy an "old" pro Nikon 300mm F/4 Ed-IF. It's a heavy, yet super lens that I got cheap online. It's the only way that I can get into the pro level. I've been shooting birds in the yard and have been learning it's particular strengths and weaknesses. So far I've been very happy with the images. Here are two of small Tufted Titmice. The first one was taken in the morning with good light and the other at an hour before sunset in our heavily shaded yard. I'm thrilled and can't wait to spend more time behind the lens.
