Stripahs

Made a run to the coast for some fall saltwater fishing.  Had heard from some friends that the bass were low in numbers but there were a bunch of Albies around.  While there were a bunch of albies there were more boats on the water than ever and everyone was running on the fish and putting them down.  If people wouldn't do that one can really pick at them but alas it wasn't to be so.  Got a ton of smallish bass one day and the next day one albie and one blue.  Despite the less than stellar fishing it was great to be out on the water with friends. 

Summer Trout Encore

The unusually cool weather this summer meant that non-tailwater trout fishing was a viable option. Needless to say I had to partake in these rare conditions.  So over the course of the summer several outings were made and fish were had and a few pictures were snapped.  It has been such a busy month or so that I'm basically throwing up my pics late. 

Smallies

 This summer I had one great day of smallmouth fishing out of the two days I chased them.  While they are a great game fish I find myself chasing other species more often, especially carp.  The fun part of this day was catching three really nice smallmouth.

 

Trout Camp 2014 day 4 and 5 (half day)

For the last two days I fished with a friend and we got a bunch of small browns during the sulpher hatch.  The last morning was quiet on the river for me with one bump.   I'll let the pics tell the story.
